i never had the need to use that word before, lol (and i'm only joking this time, lol)... i have to admit i did find it rather odd that everyone was referring to bar-stewards, though.

 I just emailed Bob at Legra about making me a strat neck.. depending on the price, I might go with one, if not, it'll probably be a Warmoth job, if that costs considerably less!

At the last minute we are trying to get hold of a NOS Charvel hardtail (brass). But he doesn't mind at all. He said before he sends to guitar to me he`ll take pictures so if the paint or anything is wrong I can change it. Although I`m sure it will be fine. Good stuff!

Wow, Warmoth is bloody expensive! I just looked on their site, and its an extra $105 for a vintage tint finish!!

I think I'll be going Legra, unless I find another Fender neck with specs that I like  8)

^ from what i looked into (and then went off the idea, don't think it's worth it for my £200 kramer, lol, par for the course for me), warmoth were pretty good value if you went for the bog standard option... but the upgrades quickly ramped up the cost. while with legra the upgrades didn't add all that much to the cost.

Yeah, I noticed that. I was gonna go for the Warmoth with vintage tint maple, but $105 extra for the vintage tint seems like a bloody rip off to be honest. Besides, Bob quoted me about £170 for a standard rosewood board strat neck, which is about the same as warmoth all in all (excluding customs which would add to the price)

what exactly is a vintage tint finish tom?

i think as well as the price not being too different, it's a big advantage buying something as substantial as an entirely new neck from somewhere 'local'.
