now I'm deciding on what pups to put in. My les paul with CW's in handles the extreme stuff. I thinnk i might go for a painkiller on the bridge, that'll be good for megadeth/old school thrash yeah. what do you guys recommend for the single coils, need a nice clean tone.

Could choice on the Painkiller. It'll nail that Megadeth tone. For single coils, possibly the Trilogy Suite or Sinner.
