Hi guys, Im new to the postings and all, but have listened to the sounds from the players and looked at a load of the products avaiable on BKP. This place is amazing.
Anywho, Im a guitarist running on a "Westfield LH Strat" not the best but it was a present from mum, many moons ago, so i shant complain. I was in my local music shop the other day asking for some advice on "microphonic" related issues. Rather than repotting the things myself and setting the house alight, I thought Id be best of giving the guitar a kick in the ass and upgrading pretty much everything on it. Its a bit drastic, but considering that Westfield only offered the Lefty strat in black or black, i was limited in my options. Everything from the paint to the electricals will be changed, and I would like to ask for some advice on what would be best for my playing style. The body is alder which im lead to believe is quite middle of the road for warmth vs brightness. I also use a Laney World Series 80 amp.
I do vary in what I play depending on how many people have aggrevated me in a day. I range from Jazz/Blues to Metal (not to heavy "Lacuna Coil/ Killswitch" are prob the best comparisons)
In my mind I like the Mirical Man as the bridge, Irish Tour Mid, Mothers Milk Neck. This is what Im thinking of as a setup. Would anyone agree or slap me around the face with a comedy sized fish? As i said im new here. Im doing my first major rebuild and you folks seem to know what your on about.
