that body looks really nice, and it looks like you got it for a pretty good price if it really is an American Strat body.

Good luck with the project, and keep posting pics

Nice body there. I'm Gas'ing for a guitar with single coils so will be interested to see how you get on building one as that is also something I've though about doing ... although I probably need to buy a new house first that has a spare room for all the associated stuff first :) An expensive project ...

Good luck commander!

Looks familiar - Highway One body from ReliableFender on eBay?

I got my Tele body from them.  I wish all their auctions didn't end in the middle of the night UK time!

That's right Philly, which one did you buy? I actually went for one of the brand new hot rod bodies, but lost out by £2 because it finished at a stupid time in the morning!

Oh & thanks guys, I'm looking forward to building it myself to my spec!

I bought a Tele Deluxe body the same as this one.

It wasn't exactly cheap after VAT and Customs charges, but it still worked out a fair bit less than buying a bound, finished lightweight alder body from Warmoth.  And I have most of the other parts ready to transplant from my existing Fender Tele (if I ever get round to it!).

Thats what I'm having to decide now, I like the sound of a bridge singlecoil sometimes but also want a humbucker in the bridge at others.. not sure how "realistic" or good sounding a coil tap would be though.. btw this is my parts strat which I've been working on, just needs pickups to be finished and possibly new tuners:

Woogie, nah mate, don't like the idea of a coil tap...I just wanna keep it as clean as possible. I know that I could get a lovely clean sound with a humbucker Tom, but...I don't know, it's just not a single bridge pick ups is it.

Davey check out the guy me & philly bought from for the body, you can pick one up quite cheap...mine was only £72!

I know I know.. I cant decide either  Then again I never really use the bridge pickup for cleans, but I do like the twangy gritty semi-overdriven sound you get from a bridge singlecoil and a broken up amp.. hmm.

Sorry, I ramble a bit! Nice strat body btw, would look great with a maple neck ;)
