Wizard Modern Classic - anyone tried?
« on: June 06, 2007, 01:12:03 PM »
I was very impressed with this clip of a Wizard Modern Classic which shows an incredible dynamic range all controlled from the guitar volume.
Apparently it was set to just 2 on the master volume with the gain on full. There are several other Wizard clips by this guy.

All that with (apparently) a Seymour Duncan pup   - just imagine what it would sound like with a BKP  :)

Oooo you are touchy aren't you ! -  I was asking what you thought about the amp/clip not SD/BKP pups. And yes I have/have used SDs (and DiMarzio, Rio Grande) and in my opinion I prefer BKPs - that's my opinion - if you think otherwise that's fine. I started using BKPs on the recommendation of Mansons (who make Matt Bellamy's custom guitars). They stock all the usual range/make of pickups (including SD) but most of the guys that work there have replaced pickups in their own guitars with BKPs. Back to the thread then, what do you think of the Wizard?

P.S. This is a BKP forum and surprisingly you are going to get posts from users who actually like/prefer BKP pups. If that upsets you as a Resident Seymour Duncan Supporter don't you think you would be more comfortable on the SD forum?

BKPs are better than SD.

But not because SD are cr@p.

You have to remember that BKP are alot more expensive, are hand built and in much less demand than SD pickups.

Ofc SD are unable to compete in terms of quality...

Great clip-that guy is a great player.I was a bit confused by Mr Ed's response-perhaps he was being ironic.
