I have a Warpig set (both Alnico V), and yes the Warpig is brutal. It thirves on low tunings and heavy strings. If you want HEAVY riffs off your bridge, accept no substitute.

Neck wise, the warpig is great for cleans ... I'm no shredder though so I don't really play much lead stuff. By all accounts you should consider the Cold Sweat for the neck. Gets rave reviews round these parts :)

What guitar are these bad boy pups bound for?

im sorta going towards the ceramic warpig man! it sounds like its got a we bit more top end bite which is what im after along with gutpunchin bass thats tight!!!!    illl only be tuning down to d standard i think so not sure i need the pig. wouldthe nailbomb be as good/comparable? i think id regret not gettin th pig

cold sweat sounds good!! im currently playin though a old 1970s dimarzio dual sound which has a nice tone but when i get my warpig i really dont think itll sit well with it.too .........vintage lol.but ive only been playin on off for 3 yrs an am gettin serious now so cant solo...at all im dire but i like my tight riffin even iof its rubbish atm

im puttin them into my jackson.its my 1st guitar so i feel attached to it.
its a good  i think anyway guitar.japanese so build is fine, good action. its got a alder body.im gonna sand it down though where your pickin arm rests on th edge so its a curve like ibanezs.i think theyre shape is comfy but dont wanna part from my jackson...i think i got a bad case of brand loyalty lol.

The ceramic Warpig will give you that super tight bass and top end bite like nothing else, but I wouldn't rule out some of the other BKPs. The Miracle Man for instance is a superb thrash pickup, as is the Nailbomb, or the Painkiller ... I'm probably not helping much here lol ... As a wise man once said "if you're going to go, go large", so maybe you should go for the cWP :)

What sort of music do you play? What sort of tone are you after? Bands, Guiatrists. Might help narrow down your decision a bit.

the search for tone

well i try to play metal, sort of modern stuff like death, darkane!!!  gojira(big influence at th mo,they have such a thick crushing sound ), emporer, ihshan, fear factory...well old ff. proggy stuff like opeth an devin townsend, then death metal like th corpse, $%&# im dead  and job for a cowboy.
though i love steve vai's sound but i couldnt compare my stlye to his as he has talent....lol

all that BK's sound devastating but i think a cWP is what im lookin for in brutality  an eventually maybe a nailbomb for the bridge.love th tone of it on the bkp demo.or the miracle man...i dunno but defo headin towards a wp

is there much difference between it an th alinco v?
i presume its just tighter an more cutting?

Sounds like the cWP is definitely what you are after in the bridge. The ceramic version is tighter and more focused on the bass than the Alnico one (which is pretty damn tight and focused to start with). You'll get a more modern, less organic tone from the ceramic WP too, which should match your playing tastes. I would say you should def get the cWP in the bridge, and rule all :)

Neck wise, I'd still consider the Cold Sweat ... its always highly praised. If you're in two minds, try emailing Tim with some description of the tone you're after and your guitar spec. Tim always seems spot on with his advice, and often suggests stuff that people weren't considering but turns out they really wanted all along!

alnico warpig soundclips sound tight enough for ANYTHING
no need for a ceramic version
alnico version seems to have more tone

i dont knwo any of the bands you mentioned on a scan through but i must say that the miracle man i have sounds awesome and tight enoughwith enough low end and high end bite for me

i play in d standard or drop c and play a mix of BLS, metallica, megadeth, testament, exodus, and lately a lot of necrophagist now that im getting the hang of the craziness
