Just started watching a download of the Velvet Revolver webcast, sounds really good so far, even better tone than Maiden, and the first song "Let it Roll" is really good  :D

edit - LazyNinja what are you on about, the GnR covers are great. I want this tone, its $%&#ing awesome. Looks like a wall of some kinda Mesas behind Dave (that hollowbody he's playing looks great as well!)

lol ok tom it's just my opinion and I wasn't saying Slash's tone (or anyone else's) was bad. I just felt it's not the same without the iconic voice of Axle Rose, as much as I hate the guy he's a big part of GnR equation. They played it well I agree but I was just referring to the band's mentality which I thought was backward. I guess it was festival and they were crowd pleasers.

Oh don't tell me Dave's joined the generic Mesa crew now. :(

He had some kind of Green-grey tolex and tan grill combos stacked up. Oh and I don't think he used his signature green Fernandes.

DON'T USE MESA'S, DAVE, STAY WITH BOGNER!!

According to Dave's official site, he's been experimenting lately with the Mesa Stiletto Ace 2x12 and Lonestar 4x10 so it was probably them.

Also, my detective skills lead me to believe that - even without seeing a photo to be sure - the semi-hollow that he used MAY HAVE BEEN the sexual Yamaha Troy Van Leeuwen model - the SA503TVL - as Dave has commented on how awesome it is in the past:

Yeah I know what you mean.. I thought they sounded better than the STP song, even with the "proper" singer

And yeah Mr Ed, that isnt the guitar he was using, I think he's using a normal gibson 335 or something..

Ah yes, it seems to be, I managed to find a photo, albeit a teeny one, but it looks like a regular 335. Lame.

Although, I was suspect of the bridge, so I found another:

And yup, it's definately got a Bigsby on it so it's not just bog-standard.
