I've got an old JCM800 combo which I've stuck V30s in, though I've modded the preamp quite a bit so it's more plexiish and considerably less trebly so probably not the best to comment on how they sound together. How it is now is great sounding though ;). I basically took out some of the treble peaking bits and pieces in the preamp and fixed it up, since it was pretty messed up (got it cheap though). Stick an overdrive in front of it and it's the dogs, I found the stock preamp to be a bit too trebly for my tastes.
