this weekend I decided I wanted a JSX head so I traded in my B-52 At 212 combo plopped down some cash and took her home.
I'm running it with El34s right now but I will probably switch over to the 6L6's to get a more "modern" sound.
so far I'm really liking it. My 7 string sounds thunderous thru it
(even without the BK pickups which are going in very soon).
I'm surprised at the range of tones these active EQ controls give you.
nice match with my V30's 9very broken in no midrange honk at all)

So Far so good
I ordered a set  of JJ 6L6's so I will try that config when they get here.
the Crunch channel is great for everything from 70's rock to Early Vah Halen and a lot fo the 80's type of metal. I'm running a clean boost in front with the gain at around 2:00 oclock.
the Ultra channel gets 5150 heavy, I've rarely had the gain up past 12:00 noon on th is channel. the tone stays more open with the gain at that level.
can get a good Dream Theater/Nevemore/Arch Enemy thing going on this channel.
Takes to the 7 string really well.
I've been told by a few people that I'll like it even more with the 6l6's so
I'm pretty Psyched.
I love that I finally have seperate EQ's for my gain channels.
tht is sorely missing from the 5150 combo and was the main reason I moved the B-52 combo.
