So i am sure there are a fair number of you on board here who know the ins and outs of pots. I know one thing for certain, i want 500K ones (i think that is right), but what are the best companies for them? Would there be a top five list that anybody can provide about the best pots, hands-down?

i dunno about best hands down as ive only replaced pots once, i used dimarzio.an it made a big difference to the output,fuller an nice a clear/sharp.
didnt cost that much but couldnt say about any other pots man.

plain old CTS will do fine - like the ones in the BKP shop

I agree. I use CTS pots all the time; never had a problem.

I need 2 1 mega volume pot
i bought 4 ,but none of them fits the cavity. and they are not cts

Here's a link for 1 meg CTS pots.

CTS pots are full size; if your having a problem getting pots to fit in the cavity then CTS pots will be of no help.

If you like I'll contact another of my suppliers on Monday and see if they have any 1 meg mini pots.

The small one is the one mega pot that doesn´t fit in my charvel. the bigger one is the stock that came in the guitar,but it´s 500K.
Are the cts pots that size/model?

I use CTS pots in Gibson/Fender guitars which are full size. On import guitars (Japanese, Korean etc) I use Alpha pots which are slightly smaller diameter than the US sized stuff. I hear the DiMarzio stuff is good too.

When you said the 1meg pots didn't fit I assumed they were too large. Is the problem the thread diameter?
