I use the original mbox with PT LE and I haven't had any problems. I also use EZ Drummer, with the Drumkit From Hell add-on, and the Custom & Vintage (Chris Whitten)  package and they all work great.

Cubase definately I reckon.
Apple's own DAWs (Garageband and the Logics) don't support VSTs.

Are you running it via an emulator because I didnt think that you couldd run OS X native on a Windows machine

Heh, it's not very hard to do, though apple don't like you to do so.

It's a matter of using a patched version of the OS.

Only thing to watch out for is sometimes stuff like USB or firewire ports are not always 100% operational
Goodbye London !

Yeah thats exactly what im doing its just a patch for the specific cpu that you are using as the ones whilst still basically the same in macs have security coding on them so that it just installs normally.

The patched os just pretends that this is present.

Pretty much like my OEM vista ultimate installation :D

Cubase definately I reckon.
Apple's own DAWs (Garageband and the Logics) don't support VSTs.

Though an increasing number of plug-ins supplied as VSTs are increasingly also supplied as AUs (Apple's plug-in format).  That's not much help with one's legacy VST stuff, of course -- but switching platforms is like that!

I tried Cubase, but didn't really get on with it.  I really like GarageBand's interface, and it's limitations haven't annoyed me enough yet that I've felt like springing for Logic SE.  On the other hand, I've heard that Logic's interface is not as pleasant as GarageBand's ....

Yeah. You get a nag screen to pay for a license for it, just so you dont get that  screen I think, but it works perfectly if you can live with waiting a few seconds to close down the nag screen!

Looks cool -- I'll definitely have to check out the proper OS X version when it comes along. (Dunno if I can be arsed to truck with the beta! :))  And USD 40 is almost no money for a piece of software like this!

Yeah, its a good price for a great piece of software. Only problem I find with it is that I always get lag/latency when recording through it, so I use audacity to record guitar parts, and Reaper for drums/midi and mixing/adding fx. Maybe the lagging is just my computers fault anyway.

Someone on HC recommended it to me, he prefers it over Cubase and Protools etc, and gets great results with it, so it cant be that bad.
