Thanks Dave.  I love the P90 and Matamp combination.  I've just been playing my Les Paul through the "fat clean" setting on the Little Rock with a Maxon OD-9 - it really works well giving that hot and compressed tone.  What a cracking amp!

It doesn't like my Box of Rock though   :(

Matamps dont like pedals which emulate other amps, as I discovered very quickly with my SansAmp TRI Ac

Yeah, it's strange Ted.  The tone goes all buzzy and flabby.  On the other hand, my Laney Klipps love the BoR but they stay pretty clean up to half volume.

I think the trouble with some pedals is that they work best with a clean or very nearly clean tone.  The Little Rock has crunch even at low gain settings on the clean settings so a pedal that needs a really clean tone sounds pretty pants.

The Tubescreamer works really well though, and my Marshall Guv'nor wasn't actually that bad either (if a little fizzy).  I'm finding I'm using the Clean setting more than the Drive, as it just sounds sooooooooo good!

yeah, the soundclips with the p90's just sounded right.

interesting that it doesn't like the box of rock, but i guess that's always the way, some amps match some stompboxes and not others...

Re-listening to these clips, I like them now a whole lot more than I used to.
Perhaps my tastes have matured, or perhaps I'm just beginning to 'get' 6V6s.
LOVING the Mules!

I've just listened back to these and they're pretty rough aren't they?  Sorry    Playing is a sloppy as hell, I must have recorded them late at night.

The 'DC one sounds not bad actually, and really shows the Riff Raffs off well.

It wasn't sloppy, I thought it was good.

You can really hear the differences between the different pups with this setup
