Mule set in LP w/full band doing 2 covers!
« on: July 25, 2007, 01:03:46 AM »
We decided to get some half decent recordings done in the cover band, as loads of pubs need a demo cd before they can book. Heres my 2 favourites:

I'm on the right speaker on the Thin Lizzy one I think, that was all bridge mule. On Cant Get enough it was all bridge mule except the 1st solo which was neck mule after the harmonised bit, at least for my guitar parts (adams guitar is stock gibson LP studio). Was mic'd with an SM58 pretty much facing the centre of a G12H, being driven by my GH50L as always! Bare in mind this is only a rough mix, they'll be getting done properly some time next week I think..

Cheers caffeinejunkie :D I've added a bit of reverb to the tracks and ran them through steinberg mastering unit, its made it all sound much better I think, before it sounded too sterile, flat and dry. Sounds more "live" now. Same links as before.

Cheers for the good comments everyone :) Yep noodle, Thin Lizzy are/were great, I saw em live last year (or maybe the year before now - I forget  ) sounded great, shame I couldnt have seen them with Phil though. John is a great singer still but its obviously not the same..

Well I dont really know what "together" means in this context, but thanks anyway  We definitely sound better live than recorded, the singing especially.

Fantastic clip.. nicely recorded.. produced and played..
I am pretty new in this forum but I have at least 5 different sets of Bare Knuckle pickups and love them... I have the Riff Raffs, Mules, Stormy Mondays, Crawler, VII and a set of Black Dogs that after hearing your clip are going into one of my 30 guitars... Thanks for posting this clip..
I am so looking forward to installing these ASAP.. right now I have a set of Stormys in one of my Les Pauls and a set of Riff Raffs in another.. they are not coming out..! love them both.. Tim mentioned that he has a set of the Riff Raffs in his 59 Les Paul style guitar.. I love them they have incredible character...
Have you done any other BK pickups and if so how can I hear them? Is there a way to check each users sound clips to see if they have more to hear...? I would love to hear any other pickiups you may have down sound clips to.. I like your playing style.. !
Greetings from Vancouver Canada,
Christopher
