Finally after a month long wait ( my luthier did them for me, the Carvin routes are small and I have a gorgeous quilt on my 7 that I didn't want to ruin).
My initial thoughts.
the Cold Sweat I put in the neck just kills. It's "Perfect" just what I was looking for, smooth yet still has a touch of that "glassy" sound that I love and gainier IE: louder than the stock pick up that I had in there.
The NailBomb in the bridge however I found to be a little dissapointing. Not that much different sounding from the Duncan SH-5 that I already had in there. I guess I was expecting a balls to the walls difference in tone and sound and I just didn't get it. I ran my guitar thru my JSX tonight (and don't get me wrong it sounded good) but I was a little let down.
Tim recommended both the coldSweat and the Nailbomb, maybe the NailBomb's not a good match for the JSX? I ran it with moderate gain
what's this pick up want?
Oh ya I almost forgot I put in an OFR trem to replace the licensed one that was in there too. big improvement.
