Yamaha Case question
« on: August 03, 2007, 04:42:08 AM »
I recently ordered two gator LP deluxe flight cases to fit my Yamaha SG guitars thinking that they were basically the same outline with just one side being double cut. Well that was wrong, and it wouldnt fit at all, does anyone know if a Gibson SG flight case would fit a Yamaha SG?

thanks

Best bet is probably to send them an email.

True, but in general when I say Yamaha SG to people, I just get blank stares or blank responses because not a lot of people know that they exist or know any info about it.

for a yamaha sg you need something generic that would fit an LP but isnt specifically shaped like an lp - its very close but no cigar territory - the fact is no company makes a case specifically for the yamaha sg - unless yamaha stil make one

Yamaha still make the SG. I think they still sell it in Japan and Australia. So you should be able to track down a case. Contact your local dealer.

Yamaha provides no American support for the SG line and they dont service parts or accessories.  Been down that road looooooonngggggggg ago trying to find a replacement pickguard and tailpiecehaha.
