That purple Lion looks stunning. I really like the purple in combination with the all black hardware.

Are your neck joints for the single cuts Long tenon or short Jonathan as i cant remember.

Always long tenon - set deep so that we can carve the all access neck with no loss of strenth

Would the all-access, long-tenon neck joint work with a thinner bodied guitar (like, say, a flat top Jr with a 1.5"-1.75" thick body - and a neck pickup), or does it need that Les Paul depth for maximum strength?

Lovely guitar, by the way!  :D   I think I still prefer the aquamarine korina one, but it's a close thing, the purple looks ace!

No - works fine as long as it's a single-cut design

Beautiful axe.

I've been toying with the idea of having an SG Special built at some point.  May have to contact Feline if I decide to go ahead with it...

Nice!

I want a purple strat :(

Like a regular Fender or Charvel style like Jake's one?

a jake strat would be interesting, was his production model with the gibson scale length? and the medium + jumbo fret combo too?
doesn't that feel weird/play weird for a strat anyway?

oo i have sent you an email about a lion with the design form attached :D

I`ve already got the blueburst, check my other thread ;)

I would get one like his originals with 25.5" scale length and all jumbo frets, those are his best guitars imo.

(close your ears jonathan.. ;) )

i popped into Feline last Thursday and was lucky enough to try this guitar acoustically. i blushed with embarrasment as i strummed it, its easily the nicest playing guitar i ever tried, 1000x better than my rough and ready technique. the things a work of art, at first i really wanted it, but i could never throw an amazing guitar like this around on stage, and have it smash it against my bullet belt and leather gloves. its certinally worth every penny of the £2300 price in my opinion.

one day though, i'm certinally keen to get a v-line.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

I know exactly what you mean (except about the bullet belt etc, I'm a bit old for all that   ).  Which is one of the reasons I'd go for something quite plain, no maple top or intricate inlays etc.  Although I'm sure I'd still treat it like a work of art.

I once read an interview with Vito Bratta of White Lion, where he said that whenever he got a new guitar from ESP (or whoever he was endorsing at the time) he'd whack it a couple of times with a hammer, so he wouldn't be "afraid" to play it.

Not that I'm advocating doing that to a Feline, of course!   :o

:D If you seriously think i`m going to whack the "Preacher" with a hammer !!

It`s the little dings a scratches that make it Rock`n`Roll ! Its not a great guitar untill you`ve hit the Bass player when turning around on stage. [ it was an accident.......honestly !   ]

That's a gorgeous guitar Jonathon! The black hardware goes really well with the purple finish.
