7-String Guitar Pickups?
« on: April 10, 2005, 10:21:48 PM »
Hey Tim.

I understand that you don't list pickups for 7-String guitars but do/can you make them at all. I noticed a post from someone saying that they had BKP pickups on a 7-string Schecter. I'm confused.

Could you clear this subject up for me please.

Many Thanks.............JTM45.

Yes we do make 7 string humbuckers and single coils.  Essentially any of our humbuckers are available in 7 string format although we can only offer black open coils.

7-string pickups eh?

So, I've seen a post stating that any pickups are available for 7-string, but only in black plastic coil covers...

Is this the case even with the Warpig?  I was so looking forward to having that nasty looking cover over it.  I'm building a custom UV7 out of a Prestige 7 neck and a custom UV/JEM body (lion's claw, monkey grip, AANJ, oil finish, Lo-Pro, mahogany), and the Warpig sounds like the perfect finish to a brutal metal guitar.

So, what's the verdict?  Can I get a 7-string Warpig with that nice 'hand distressed' cover?

Thanks! - Tom

I wish I could say yes but unfortunately noone makes 7 string metal covers-you can still have the twin rows of allen bolts though which look pretty brutal.
