I think it looks totally awesome. I would love a Jake replica guitar, I would pose and play "Thank God for the Bomb" in front of my mirror all day. :)

Me too!

Would look just like the real thing (if Jake was watching himself in the mirror...)  :?

sorry if this is Philly Q's attempt at internet sarcasm again  :P

Me, sarcastic?  You cut me to the quick, Will.

But I was being serious!  I agree, it does have that other meaning, but "for the win" seems to make more sense in this context.

woogie likes them plain - but he is very particular about the exact details!!!   This is exactly what he has been after

He nearly drove me nuts over the detail; there are 102 emails in Woogies file on my PC and that's just the ones I kept!!

Still that's what custom guitars are all about. I'm a lefty myself so I really enjoyed making this one 'cos I got the chance to play it properly; something I miss out on most of the time.

Nothing wrong with plain guitars, I think they look better as I've never been a fan of stupidly gaudy quilt tops, and I only like subtle flame :P

I think this guitar looks really nice, the slanted singlecoils arent really my thing but it looks good anyway! I'm almost tempted to save up and get myself a legra

wow bob, i cant imagine having to deal with guitars that are mostly 'the wrong way'.  I have done a few lefties and as long as i double check the template is the correct way round i am usually ok, and the side dots have never ended up on the wrong side of the fretboard. . . honest :?  - but when it comes to the actual set-up i have to revert to doing it all by the numbers and takes forever.  I do all my righty set-ups based mainly on feel!!

i cant imagine not being able to play most of my work either - that must suck!!

I like that axe, except for the fact it's backwards.  They just twist my melon.

Bob - how come there's no logo on it?
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Nice job Bob........looks like a real peach of a guitar.

From personal experiance may I just say that Bobs work is absolutely fantastic, and he doesn't try to shoot you for being overly tricky (like Woogie could have been if Bob has that many e-mails, and I certainly was   ).  It's all Bobs fault that I'm now a devoted Bareknuckle man, and as soon as I can afford them the doubleneck is getting a matched pair of Bareknuckles (not decided which yet) for the 6 string side.  Just my Orville more desperately needs Bareknuckles before the doubleneck

that's sweet, i love superstrats. needs a floyd though...

Bob's work is great. The more i play mine, the more i like it. I've tried guitars double the price which weren't as nice, and that's before you even consider that the specs on my legra would probably double again the price of those other guitars I tried (that made more sense in my head, honest!     )...

EDIT: 100 emails? wow i thought i was bad!   Then again, each one of my emails is about the same length as 20 normal ones.

Believe it or not Wez I have to really concentrate when I'm making lefties as well. I can remember making a left handed Tele years ago; it was finished and then I went and screwed the strap button onto the lower horn

glad its not just me!!

100+ emails isnt bad - at least woogie never would have let you have a single misconception about what he wanted.... Shame he couldnt be convinced to have the legra headstock nice and proud on the headstock though, i hope he let you get it on there somewhere

I specifically wanted the Legra logos on my doubleneck, just so that anytime anyone asked what it was I could tell them! :D ........

Yeah if I ever get a custom guitar it'll definitely have their logo on the headstock! I think that woogie is just going for an accurate a clone as possible by the sounds of things. Heres a mockup of the kinda strat I'd like bob to make me when I have some money, though it may just be cheaper to Warmoth it!
