Pick up height adjustment

I've recently installed a bk nailbomb (bridge) and bkp-91 (neck) but I cant get a proper adjustment, as if I set them at the height I generally set my pick ups, I get a very muddy tone with distorted sounds, and if I set them lower the distortion is not as dirty as it is with my other guitars (equipped with seymour duncan alnico 2 pro). Also, the P91 outputs almost half the volume of the nailbomb. Finally, I also have a fernandes sustainer (neck, above the p91), which doesnt seem to work as good as it should (feedback/sustain is quite weak in standard mode and totally absent in harmonic mode)
Any help/advice is greately appreciated.

You'll never get a bridge Nailbomb to match the output of a middle P-91? Way too much of a difference I would have thought.
Try adjusting the polepiece heights too if you haven't already.
There's no magic formula, you just have to try lots of things.

Well, the p91 is on the neck, not middle. Anyways, how do I adjust the polepieces? I mean, how does it affect the sound? Clockwise il louder, counterclockwise is thinner?
Thanks

Anti-clockwise = closer to the strings = louder. You may get a little more clarity with the polepieces further out. It's something you have to try and see how it works for you.
The P-91 will never match the output of the Nailbomb unless you drop it way down, but then why have a Nailbomb?
