HSH config for an Ibanez
« on: August 04, 2005, 12:34:30 PM »
Hi, I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could help me out with what pickups to use in my RG370DX. I'm looking to have a tight distortion sound (similar to metallicas ...and justice for all album) and a really sweet clean sound. I've listened to a few clips and i quite like mules nailbombs and warpigs, but i don't know what single coil would go well with them. Any suggestions?

Trilogy works very well with Nailbombs, that's what I've got in my RG550.

if you return your warranty card when you get your pickups, you can get a free 3 way mini switch for your humbuckers if they have 4 conductor wiring - that means you can have a coil tap, which would probably help you in your quest for a great clean sound

A Trilogy single coil has plenty of juice and an alternative for a cleaner, nore vintage tone would be an Irish Tour.
