I've found that i like the feel and response i get from vintage wound epi humbuckers on my epi sg and would like to get similar feeling for my seven string (low A).
Just wondering what might help get the precision and attack.
Just use a vintage hot, Maybe use a ceramic magnet? Any suggestions anyone?

Would that be high enough output for high gain though? I havent heard the riff raff before. do you think i could do with ceramic magnets?

Traditionally speaking, a ceramic pickup will have a more aggressive attack than an alnico one.

Yer i have a warpig and a miracle man, and i definatly prefer the miracle man at the moment because of the response. it gives more aggresive punch, the warpig seems abit slow and far to scooped to me.
Any more suggestions are ver appreciated.
Cheers
