Sounds good to me, everyone in the band seems to play well too :)
Crazy Train sounds pretty good as well, what amp?
-
Amp?
That would be the Martamp Orion prototype ;)
-
Tremendous! Bloody cameraman missed your solo on "You Give Love a Bad Name" though!
I have to say, you boys have all gotta GROW YOUR HAIR!!!!
(When I saw the thread title, I thought for a minute you were selling the damn Tele! :P )
-
That's was Martin's solo not mine! And blame Mrs Twinfan for that ;)
I've got some hair!

Oops, didn't mean to be rude to Mrs T! I thought you'd have that solo, since you had your whammy guitar and Martin had the solo on "Wanted..." (he has a slight air of Jack Dee, by the way! )
I've got some hair!
You need more! And the rest of 'em need a LOT more!
-
No probs Phil - I knew how to play the intro so that's why I got that part!
-
Great stuff. The whole band plays well as a unit. Tele sounds lovely( and looks pretty too).
-
Cheers Steve! I love that Tele.....
-
Cool! Is it on studio or alive?
EDIT: Alive! Very nice, but the guys should look more "alive"... It was just like an researchal...
-
sweet!

Err, how do you mean alive? What do you expect?????

I agree, twinfan is the only one rocking out :P
-
Good stuff mate - that tele is very nice indeed. If I ever get down to Manchester I'll bring mine along with me!
-
You should - give me a shout and we'll meet up :)
-
Will do! Although it should read 'UP' to Manchester considering I am a Southerner!
-
Not aiming the camera at you when it's your solo? I'd get a divorce

I'll check, but I think that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.
I'm funnier though. :D

is your other guitarist playing one of those all mahogany les paul studio faded? did he pimp it at all?

That's me!
I am indeed playing one, and it's bog standard. Only got it last Tuesday, a bargain from Promenade Music at £480!
Needs no pimping as far as I'm concerned.

What he said ^
It's a nice gee-tar!
-
Great playing, but I've gotta agree with some of the others, only Twinfan and the bassist actually look like they're at a gig. The singer especially needs to work on his stage presence (great voice, but he needs to be a bit more animated).
-
If I remember rightly (and correct me if I'm wrong) the band haven't been playing gigs for long. I really wouldn't expect a newish band to be majorly rocking out to start with. For me it's a case of being comfortable on stage first, playing the music well (which they do) and when confident with it that's when you can start working on stage presence at bit more. Nobody want's to see a guitarist (or singer) duck walking/moonwalking etc and playing out of time/singing out of key!
I remember for my first few gigs I was about as spritely as a wardrobe! Sadly I quit the band just as I was getting my confidence in playing live.
-
I reckon they will all be grooving on down soon enough. As has been said, it is a newish band and these things tend to come along naturally.
-
Thanks guys - it was only our second gig togther! Although we've all played in other bands before.
I've just had some great pics from the gig sent through. I thought this one was particular appropriate to this thread ;)

the red tele is beautifull and sounds nice, i do think that tone doesnt suit the music you were playing though... it sounded a bit thin... it could have been the recording, as it all sounded a bit thin...
-
Tele's do sound thin on the bridge with the tone up full - it was a psuedo acoustic tone I was after ;)
-
I thought the Tele sounded perfect on that particular song - cut through nicely. :)
-
Tone is SO subjective! The room was very odd - all concrete walls and a wooden laminate floor. No delay needed, it was like playing in a large bathroom!

Breaking a duck means doing something for the first time - originally a cricket term meaning to get a score other than 0 (nought = "duck's egg").
And this is gurning:

surprised no one's mentioned that you appear to have Robbie Williams on lead vocals! was wondering where he'd got to...

Cheers, philly.

Aww ya beat me to it...
Just got home (and so can view youtube stuff), and my reaction was to be: "Dave, what are you gonna do when Robbie goes back to Take That?!!"
The tele's sounding/looking good :D
-
It's always nice to end a song by saying "F@$% you" to the audience. (probably just the accent I was hearing )
Anyway you guys sounded good! I can't comment about the not moving around on stage because I'm guilty of that too. I'm basically a tall tree on a windy day, only the limbs move!

Fair play to the lad, he's managed to shift all that excess weight....
-
I thought you wrote "sh1t" that excess weight!
