This thing is just amazing, fit and finish are literally flawless, and it sounds incredible too. I'll give a full review soon, but right now I'm off to have a good play!
At the moment there's an Aftermath bridge, Riff-Raff neck in there, but I'm going to swap a Black Dog into the bridge position after discovering how awesome those things are. Nothing against the AM though, it's brutally aggressive and tight!
Cheers chaps :)

If you slowed down on gear you could buy a singer for your band
-
We already have a singer ;)
-
I think I still prefer your pink Daemoness, but mighty impressive. Good photos too!

Looking at the pic of the back of the machine heads it seems you are hiding something. There are SIX of you which is obviously how you manage to get things done, send the other 5 to work to pay for the guitars and practice yourself :)
But seriously mate that guitar is 99% perfection: neck through, bare knuckles, loads of frets, top woods & awesome looks (love the lonely 7th string machine head). For the last 1% if it were mine the top strap button would have to be on the end of the horn, but hey its yours not mine :(
Congrats on the axe, could not have ended up in the hands of a nicer guy

that's pretty frickin' awesome :D

Nice pussy!

VERY nice ............. PDT_003

Looks great!
Can I have it?

Wow, looks great. What's the deal with Bernie Rico Guitars? Recently started hearing about them. Will they be the next Suhr or something?
-
Very nice work!
I wish the headstock was different but the thing looks flawless.
I'd still rather have my hands on your pink wood though.... :?

Looks stunning Adam - she's a real beauty
although I love this shot - cats cant not get in on the act somehow!

Too many strings for me, and I don't usually go for fancy woods etc... but, WOW, that looks gorgeous! :D
-
So Roo has gone from a black dog to an aftermath, and now Nolly has gone from an aftermath to a black dog
Now if only Dave bought another PRS, oh wait...
-
Looks good to me and I also love the cat.

Thanks guys, very impressed with this guitar! I should probably point out that the bridge is blocked with some big chunks of mahogany - I wanted the tuning stability of a locking nut but without the hassle of a floating system. I've always loved how Floyds feel to play on and don't mind how they look so it's win/win for me. For the record, I haven't had to tune it AT ALL since getting it!

Yeah, he's been at it a while but has recently started to really pick up momentum. Extremely high-quality custom instruments, though he has been doing some "batch runs" at rather good prices. You should check them out: www.ricojrguitars.com :)

Hehe yep, you can't get anything done on Jordan's territory without him trying to get in on the action. You can spy him in the final pic too (several times)

Trade the cat for a Black Dog? No, serious, nice looker, but I like the pink Daemoness a tad more.
-
Adam, is this 20" radius? If so where the hell do you get 20" nuts?

Where's afghan when you need him?

hahaha
But to answer the question: yes it's 20", Bernie hand-files them to the correct radius!

That's so simple and brilliant!!! I spent ages trying to find the flattest locking nut possible, all I could find was a 17" one that goes on Steve Vai guitars
-
How much variation do you get out of the bridge and neck pups with them being so close together like that?
-
Wow!
Great guitar and great pics, too! How much are these going for?
FRs are 14" normally, did he shim the saddles to get to 20" ?
-
That looks seriously tasty!
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts when you've got the black dog in there. For me, the AM is absolutely 'it' in my axe, but I do still have a soft spot for the black dog :)
And that is one cool looking cat :)

Yeah sure, though the top strings on the neck position does have a distinct middle-position "quack". It's still very usable as a neck pickup though, and is far outweighed by the ridiculous fret access you get all the way up to the 27th.

He's mainly around the $2500-3500 mark, but he has some fairly nutty offers on at the moment - if you check out the homepage here you can see the current one: http://ricojrguitars.com/
He must have shimmed the saddles, they are certainly the right radius so I assume that's what's happened.

Cheers dude, yeah I was very impressed with the Black Dog when I checked it out in a LP. I actually just got the one for this guitar today so I'll install it next week and do a clip or two.

It's simply gorgeous. There's very little I'd change on it if it were mine. I'd unblock the trem as I do use it and I'd revert to 6 strings as I don't think I could cope with more. Maybe go back to 24 frets as well and decrease the radius but I'm being picky now. Out of interest, what are the woods involved in its construction?
