Post all your GASes here, and help out some people that have too many axes in mind (or not...)
It might be useful to state what gear you have and what music you play. Suggestions welcome :D
Music style: General Purpose Rock, not metal. Bluesy stuff too
Gear: Fender Hotrod Deluxe
Guitars: Ibanez SZ120, Ibanez RG370DX, MIA Standard Tele
GASes!: Gibson Les Paul Jr
http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Jr.aspx
Various Schecters:

PT (Tele-ish) http://schecterguitars.com/Products/Guitar/PT.aspx

Music style : hard rock and heavy metal, 80s style

Guitars : SuperStrats, Gibsons and Carvins
GASes : multichannel amp (Fryette SigX, Boogie Recto, Splawn...), Carvin SC and CT.

'mini' evh 5150iii 50w amp- whenever it will bloody come out!
-
I have major GAS for a DAR FBM100, which is strange because I love the sound I get out of my 5150-II.
That's the only GAS I have had for ages or will likely have for ages - I have my custom guitar and have no desire for any other.
-
I'll post what's on number 1 on my GAS list.
I played one of these a couple of weeks ago. It blew me away.

Guys, it would be cool if links were posted to make things easier.
Music style : hard rock and heavy metal, 80s style
Amps : Marshall 2203X, Laney GH100L
Guitars : SuperStrats, Gibsons and Carvins
GASes : multichannel amp (Fryette SigX, Boogie Recto, Splawn...), Carvin SC and CT.
I'm guessing the Mesa Boogie would be near the top of that list? Seems like an 80's Metalhead's dream amp
-
In actual fact, the Boogie is pretty low on the list. I've never managed to get a Boogie to sound right for me. I've been told the Rectifiers are different, but still...
At the moment, the Splawn is way in the lead. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger today.

On the topic of Amp Gas, I've always wanted an Orange... They seem so classic and original
AD30
http://www.orangeamps.com/ad30tc-combo/
A nice Mesa
Stiletto Ace
http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/stiletto/ACE/stilettoACE.htm

I played the Mesa Stiletto in a store once. Was very disappointed. It sounded like the world's most expensive JCM900.
Didn't sound like a Mesa, nor a good Marshall.

My GAS has been being treated quite frequently recently (I LOVE IT).
I needed a new amp, so I got a Blackstar half stack.
I needed somewhere to put my pedals, so I bought a pedal board.
I need pedals to stock the rest of the pedal board, I've ordered an MXR Carbon Copy, and Phase 90, with more to follow.
I havent actually bought a new guitar in years, but I really don't know what to go for next. Hopefully something Whammy bar equipped, something Floyd-Rose esque for show off whammy wankage.
-
A white non pointy flying V with a 6 a side headstock and no scratchplate & direct mount pickups...
so i guess im gassing for a custom.
Oh and £1k so i can build another few amps
-

Oh... Maybe tubes need changing? :/ I'm only judging that off the looks tbh, I've been too busy to go to the shops lately.
Whenever I want to try a guitar out at the shop, I have to remind myself that I WILL have to play with rusty strings. That makes a huge difference (a very bad one)
Lol, and I imagined this topic going very differently... Like posting around your top five GASes and then having others discuss and narrow things down based on your current set up and style. But oh well

My friend has an Stiletto Ace and always having trouble to find the right sounds. To me it sounds boxy and thin. My Rockerverb has way more balls and thickness. Just my experience, maybe others can dial in stellar sounds on the Stiletto.

I'd go with the JA-90 (I ALMOST bought one. Seems to have everything different/right) and possibly an A-Bomb. By nothing beats the feeling of a new guitar... You need no more pedals or amps haha
I have a typical Humbucking guitar, an Ibby RG (metal Superstrat(I don't play metal)), and a Tele.
Which is your suggestion?
Gibson Les Paul Jr
Schecter PT (Heart wants it so much, not really logical though. A slab sided, double cream bound Tele with buckers

Schecter Stargazer (That rebel side of me wanting to be different haha)

-
Yeah, my pedal collection is good with the TT it gives me a great range of sounds, just the reverb (and at some point a delay) is what I wish for...especially for the clean stuff.
THe JA-90 is highest on my list atm, though it has been a while since I played one, would have to try again now, since I think my taste for necks and all has changed a bit. Still I think I will get it next, it felt so good last time. I also just need something like it for clean play and full chord rock stuff (and things like Jimmy Eat World of course) with just that sound it can deliver (with BKPs of course).
The A-Bombs for the Dean are rather low on the list, cause it has the Petrucci Signature Dimarzios (LiquiFire and CrunchLab) in it, but after switching to BKPs they just don´t really cut it anymore...feels rather lifeless...not right. Well, still better than stock.^^
From the two you posted....well, I am gonna be direct and honest: I hate the first one, looks really ugly to me. Maybe it plays great, but its looks are not for me.
The stargazer...looks real nice (especially with those crome PUs. I could see myself doing some nice (hardrock) or classic metal with that. It has something about it I just like. The white parts really make that axe.
-
I think the PT is a nice plank. I would put raw nickel covers on it, to give it a, ehh.., more raw attitude.
-
Music style: None
Amps: Orange Tiny Terror, Orange 1x12", Pod XT
Guitars: too many to list, but my favourites are Japanese Les Paul Juniors
GASes!:
A couple of great low-output little valve amps
A really great lightweight Les Paul - Feline Lion perhaps?
Yamaha SG2000 (if I could find a light one - unlikely)
Early '80s Washburn Falcon (ditto)
Early '80s Ibanez Artist AR300 (ditto)
A really good Tele
Ibanez Fireman

Gibson Les Paul Jr
http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/Les-Paul-Jr.aspx
This has just $%&#ed up my GAS :(
I'm a little shaked for a Orange Amp too, AD30THC or the AD30 Thunder, but I think this last one is nome build anymore... And is that the one AndyR said was cr@p?
EDIT: ops, the right name on the 2nd amp is TH30...
-
Guitar: Gibson Les Paul Studio (silverburst) w/ Holydiver and Mule
Amp: Mesa Roadster Head, Port City 212 cabinet
Pedals: Not much really, a Carbon Copy Delay, Boss NS-2, Digitech Bad monkey, Boss CE-5 Chorus
Guitar GAS: I am really GASing hard for a PRS Custom 24, or a PRS in general. Not much longer and I'll probably be selling my LP. It feels like a burden to me.
Amp GAS: I haven't had amp GAS for a while. My Roadster can pretty much do anything. If i ever have amp GAS it's usually for a Bogner :D
Pickup GAS: Blackdog, Nailbomb, Painkiller, Aftermath, VHII neck, CS neck, HD neck

Mostly a metal player, but I've been eyeballing the Jazzmaster lately. Also with Tony on some freed up cash for amp builds. :)
Also, Wolf Hoffmann's Jackson gets a peek or two a week from me. I think it was Gwem who posted a different pic a few months ago, but I really dig the messed up finish, the pickup layout and the headstock choice. Just one of those axes that stick in your mind I guess.

Didn't think I wanted much till saw martins vids of his electra amp and that gretsch in previous post

Lol, and I imagined this topic going very differently... Like posting around your top five GASes and then having others discuss and narrow things down based on your current set up and style. But oh well
OK, consider it done.
My top five GASes :
Splawn Quickrod
Fryette SigX
Carvin V3
Laney VH 100
Boogie Recto
In that order. If nothing comes up to change my mind very shortly, I'm ordering the Splawn.
I've posted a thread about a do it all amp where I specified my requirements. Didn't take the Splawn into account because I didn't think there were dealers in Europe.

Gear: Fender HotRod Deluxe + Marshall 1965 (4x10) cab
How do you find the hot rod for metal?
With a closed cab and a good OD to push the front, it works fine for hard rock and very early metal stuff, but the gain "texture" is probably too loose for more modern stuff - note that I don't really do metal, just a couple riffs that draw inspiration from metal stuff.

The hotrod isn't really suitable for metal, but with this in front, all you need is the clean channel :)

Not to sound shallow, but maybe a big name would give you a signtaure bread and butter tone? The Gibby or Tele sound good. But then again you have enough guitars

A 'big' name is not the equivalent of a good tone, however tele's and juniors are heard on many records.

Glad to see you've gotten along with yours.

SG junior

I'm able to keep all this in check at the moment though
-
i'm actually wanting to sell stuff at the moment, believe it or not ;)
Me too. Need to make room (and not to mention money) for all the new goodies after all
-
How can you guys WANT to sell things :O You must have way too much haha
Everything I have has more sentimental value than money value... Maybe I'm just a hoarder...
GAS:
A distortion pedal. My overdrive isn't cutting it for fluid solos anymore lol
-

Selling stuff gets easier (a) the more stuff you have and (b) the less time you keep it! I do get sentimentally attached to my older guitars, but if I'm not getting on with something recent it's not a wrench to let it go.
That said, as I've mentioned before, this is NOT a good time for sellers, on eBay or (presumably) anywhere else.
-

No it isn't. I've got a couple of items for sale at half price or thereabouts, and not a single reaction.
-
I also still have a serious GAS for a nice Les Paul (arched top) with a fender scale (I am not really into the shorter gibson scale, also all my other axes have the fender)...god I want one.
