Lol, and I imagined this topic going very differently... Like posting around your top five GASes and then having others discuss and narrow things down based on your current set up and style. But oh well
OK, consider it done.
My top five GASes :
Splawn Quickrod
Fryette SigX
Carvin V3
Laney VH 100
Boogie Recto

In that order. If nothing comes up to change my mind very shortly, I'm ordering the Splawn.
I've posted a thread about a do it all amp where I specified my requirements. Didn't take the Splawn into account because I didn't think there were dealers in Europe.

Music styles: blues, classic rock, hard rock, punk rock, grunge, and things bordering on hardcore and metal.
Gear: Fender HotRod Deluxe + Marshall 1965 (4x10) cab

How do you find the hot rod for metal?

With a closed cab and a good OD to push the front, it works fine for hard rock and very early metal stuff, but the gain "texture" is probably too loose for more modern stuff - note that I don't really do metal, just a couple riffs that draw inspiration from metal stuff.
Have: Crawlers, BGF 50/52s, Mules, ABomb, RiffRaff
Had : Slowhands (n&m), Trilogy (b)

The hotrod isn't really suitable for metal, but with this in front, all you need is the clean channel  :)

Not to sound shallow, but maybe a big name would give you a signtaure bread and butter tone? The Gibby or Tele sound good. But then again you have enough guitars

A 'big' name is not the equivalent of a good tone, however tele's and juniors are heard on many records.

Glad to see you've gotten along with yours.
