Hello everyone , I have just discovered BKP in a search to find new pups for my Ibanez RGD2120Z Prestige . This guitar is a couple years old and Ibanez no longer makes the prestige in a 6 string model . I love the way this guitar plays , but have never been happy with the pups . The guitar has a 25.5 scale and comes from the factory set-up 1 step down in D standard . I set it up for drop C and use a string gauge of 11 - 54 . Now for the good part , I want a great set of passive pups that favor my low to mids but also keeps the highs clear . I can hear the tone I'm looking for , but find it hard to explain so I guess I'm really interested in finding a set of well rounded metal pups . I play covers as well as my own stuff and have been playing stuff from bands like Lamb of God , Killswitch Enagage , etc. I'd really like to hear from BKP owners who use the pups that fit what I am looking for . Thanks for any help and suggestions and I am looking forward to your posts .

Hi and welcome!
Low mids? Clear highs? Metal? LoG and KSE? One answer: Miracle Man
It has everything you need here in my mind, just nail on the head fitting. Really nothing more I can write right now it just fits so much, so ask specific questions if you need more info. ;)
Cheers!

Basswood Body, thick chuggy low mids, screaming highs, LoG and KSE? (Sorry for repeating what Kiichi wrote but...) MIRACLE MAN
-
As usual when Kiichi is in a thread, I agree 100% - it has to be a Miracle Man.

Black hawks for me

You might also want to take a look at the Juggernauts. They have a huge bottom end and are clear enough. But I think the Miracle Man fits your description better.

Miracle Man or Blackhawk.

is Miracle Man something like Cold Sweat on steroids?
there`re many links between BKPs sometimes you might get lost :D

They have similarities: ceramic, scooped mids, huge bass, pronounced topend.

so that above statement is 100% right then?
what other links can be stated there? as far as I know Abraxas is Mule on steroids as well as Mother`s Milk->IT->SH. anything else?

Well, The Mule and Abraxas are family, both AIV-magnets. Abraxas is middier and hotter, but not as open and 3D as the Mule. You could see the Crawler as the mastodont of this family. It has an AV-magnet, but still the PAF-ish character that goes back to the Mule. The Crawler is way fatter and compressed and sounds huge.
I wonder if the same goes for the RiffRaff -> Emerald > Rebel Yell. The RY has some vintage character left, but to me it sounds not really like a PAF. Great pickup though.
