Teh Uggs?- what do those thermal granny boots have to do with flying Vs (very confused here .....or maybe showing that I am over 40)

haha, it has no reference to the boots whatsoever, but the name for the boots as well as the terminology i used comes from the same word: ugly.  I can't stand the look of the original style V's.  Rhodes V is the holy grail of V's in my oppinion.

Apparently KK use a .007 on his high E, that coupled with scalloped frets must mean a ridiculously light touch.

edit:
do you know who kevin bond is? i don't, but anyway - his signature jackson with the green flashes is well tasty.

Yeah, I feel sorry for his tech, it must be quite a task to keep it in tune.

Christ, he really abuses that trem, probably a little too much, obviously a big influence to Kerry King :P

He is/was(?) the guitarist in Superjoint Ritual, one of Phil Anselmo's many bands.

See, I'm hipper than you think! (Hmmm, is it hip to say "hip"?  :? )

I even have one of their CDs (don't like it much, I must admit).  I also have albums by Arch Enemy, Soilwork, The Haunted, Gojira, Goatsblood (that was a mistake...), Machine Head, Mastodon, Opeth (do the last three count as Teh Brootalz? not sure).  And probably some others I've forgotten.  I mostly just like the melodic bits though.

I have no idea who he is either, that green is ok.  I suppose i am gonna be cliche and prefer the red flashes one, but i think it would be far cooler if it had purple flashes!
