Definately check out the Abraxas!!!!!!

The tonal balance reminds me of an Alnico IV.  Which is Alnico II's mids with Alnico V's high and bass.

The bridge is not as hot as your pickup now though.  Around 14.5 for the Abraxas.   I recommend.  Could go higher with a Nailbomb/MM/Warpig/Cold Sweat on the bridge though.

Actually the mule is pretty bright and open - as all good vintage humbuckers should be!
