Humbucker suggestions for Parker NItefly M
« on: August 11, 2010, 05:06:42 PM »
I have a Parker Nitefly M. It is my only guitar and i want  a tone upgrade from it.
Right now i have a Duncan Distortion in the bridge and Duncan Jazz in the neck with coipl tap option.

I play everything from Heavy Rock clean slow blues.
For some reason my Nitefly falls short of being a hi end instrument even though it looks and feels gorgeous.
i was wondering if Bare knuckle Pickups might be the answer.

I have totally bypassed the Piezo system and its just a Hum/Hum guitar with coil tap.

My needs: Bridge--Hot enough for metal, Pinch harmonics, clarity, warmth, big sounding.
Neck needs is where i always fail. I'm trying to get too much out of one guitar. I'd like a smooth soloing tone for hi gain, but i also want glassy , big clean tones. Neck hum in single coil mode should be stratish and i would prefer to coil tap the outer coil---closer to neck joint. Am assuming this will be closest to strat neck tone ???

Maybe i am being unrealistic. But i feel there might be some hope here.
Please advise.
Thanks
Nyne

sounds like a holy diver set
that's exactly how I would describe the bridge pickup

didn't try the neck model, though, but I'd expect the tone you described after checking others reviews and clips
but maybe you would enjoy a mississippi queen on the neck position

Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat
