Pickup installation help
« on: June 21, 2006, 06:03:07 PM »
Hi there

Just trying to solder in my Rebel yell into the bridge position on my guitar, but not 100% what to do with the wires nor how to follow the diagram!

I have a 5 way selecter switch and the diagram shows a 3 way one. Sorry I am an absolute nooby!

Do i have to detatch the two wires wrapped in plasticy stuff in order to solder them or not? I am not coil tapping by the way.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The two wires taped together (green & white IIRC) are for coil-tapping, so you don't have to wire them to anything if you only want the humbucker sound.

As I guess you've figured out :-) the red is the "hot" one, the black & bare wires you solder to a ground point.
