MM's for a lp?

alright alright, so I know, this has been discussed plenty of times I am sure, but I want a good clean answer before I invest my money.  I have a 2002 LP standard, bustbucker pro's just arent doing it for me, I have been looking at a set of miracle man pickups but here is my question. would that be too bassy?  I enjoy sabbath and ozzy of all time periods, the clips of the miracle man pickups of the ozzy tribute band sounded great, and I assume he has miracle mans in a les paul. I play all kinds of classic rock, to more modern stuff, with 80's in the middle, my amp is a boogie dual rec, would the mm's be the right direction, or am I going the wrong way?

Welcome. The MM is made with a Les Paul in mind. The ceramic magnet keeps the bass tight. It should sound pretty good through a Mesa.

For your styles of music, you might want to take a look at the Cold Sweat as well.

I think that the Miracle Man will have NO problem doing any of the genres you mentioned!

The Miracle Man would be one of my no.1 choices. Actually, I can't think of many BKPs that wouldn't sound good in an LP.  :lol:

The Miracle man set sounds great in Les Pauls, and would do what you want nicely. As Ratrod metioned, the Cold sweat would be worth considering too. Its got a slight more vintage edge with a more open organice tone.

I would agree with this; the Cold Sweat has an openness in the upper midrange that is really great if you want to add a nice growl to your tone.
