Changing Crawlers to ? in Mahogany guitar - thoughts?

Thanks again, to all, for the very detailed responses. I'll contact Tim - I'll probably have one more go at adjustments to the Crawlers before I give up on the combination of guitar and pickups, however it sounds like SM's would be a good fit.
