sort of semi related to this threads resurrection. I tried a number of Dave's guitars yesterday and can confirm that the PRS Modern Eagle is simply stunning in all areas. Sooo easy to play (and I'm not much of a player), a nice weight and well balanced, great finish, awesome neck and above all it just sounds perfect - the coil split is also very good indeed.

How about a swap Dave  :P

Forgot to respond to this.  Nice as your Esquire is mate..............

Not a chance

Ian, I can't believe you'd swap an Esquire for a PRS, it would be like swapping a Shelby Mustang or an AC Cobra  for a Lexus  :(

That makes me wish I had a PRS, so I could trade it.

The Shelby Cobra/Lexus analogy is a very good one.

You haven't played my Modern Eagle.  It's not your average PRS  ;)

It's still horses for courses, though, isn't it?  A humbucker guitar - even if it's the best humbucker guitar in the world - just isn't going to suit a real die-hard Strat/Tele player.

True Phil, very true!

It's the AC Cobra vs Lexus bit I was objecting to.  There's nothing mass produced and mainstream about a Modern Eagle.  They probably made less than 800 of them...

I was only messin

Although PRS's are a little fancy and refined for my tastes I must admit the ones I have played have been very nice, I'm sure the exclusive ones do feel very special.  I'd rather not ever try one though for fear of getting GAS for one which could prove very expensive.....
