I'm assuming that big transformer in the picture is the choke as the PT and OT needed for a 1000w valve amp would be HUGE!!!

JPF sent me a link to Champ Electronics and he has some pictures of massive valve amps he's built that were designed in racks with wheels fitted to allow transportation since it was too heavy to lift.  I remember the Matamp 400w bass hed my bass player used to own - that was a two person job, I kid you not.

for guitar it would be insane and you'd need at least four 300w 4x12 cabs if you were cranking it.

it would make a great bass amp as the amount of headroom would be massive - bet its a pokey fecker.

guy is a bass player so prob going to be for bass..he built a 4 or 500 watt one before when I went ages ago needed both of us to move it

It sounds lovely!

I would like a Fortin. Just a 2 channel amp but with the high gain channel sounding like that channel 6 clip. One day, but i bought the Egnater to try and make me just buy modules instead of actual amps.
