Jugg. Short or long legs?
« on: August 22, 2015, 09:23:05 PM »
Does anyone know if the jugs are short or long legged? It didn't give me a option to choose and I have it going in a fender Jim root(using a pickup ring) it should fit either way right?

There should be an option there in a drop down box.

Long legs are basically for Gibsons and other guitars with a noticeable neck angle and/or pickguard mounted pickups.  Sometimes the cavity is too shallow for long legs.

EDIT: I just checked and that's really weird.  There is no option for leg length on Juggs.  I checked Cold Sweat and the option is still there for that model.  Maybe use the messaging function on the web store to ask directly.  The option is available on all of the other ones I checked - Painkiller, Aftermath, Warpig - except for the Black Hawk

That seems odd to me, given that the Aftermath and Warpig seem to have the same baseplate but have the option of long or short legs.  Is the overall height of the Juggernaut different from those models?  Does that mean that long legs are impractical?

Hey Guys,

It's because the magnets are 6.35mm so are a lot taller than all other Bare Knuckle models. We even had to have a tool made for the covers because of the magnets being bigger.

You can get an idea of the difference from these.

Juggernaut -

6.35mm is TALL indeed
regular models have 3mm (alnico) or 4mm (ceramic), right?

Oh okay got ya. Thanks
It shouldn't give me any problems fitting in a Jim root Tele(pickup ring) will it?

Yep, the magnets we use are normally 3.2mm alnico and 4mm Ceramic magnets.

You shouldn't have any problems at all fitting a Juggernaut to your Jim Root Tele

I'm late to the party here but I can attest to the fact that the Juggerbridge is one thick pickup.  It's also one amazing pickup and I really like it in my superstrat!
