More Mule Mayhem!!
« on: April 23, 2005, 01:44:15 PM »
Hey all,

I cannot begin to express how perfect The Mule is for my sound, so I thought I`d record a clip of some off the cuff riffs....please excuse the quality, its just done with the inbuilt mic of my MP3 recorder, but I think it gets the point across pretty well

Amp and guitar wise: it`s just plug n play...Schecter C7 with Mule bridge pu only into an Orange Rockerverb 100 head.

The sound may be a bit ropey but you gotta love the tone!!

Love any feeback as to peoples opinions...

Sounds cool man, but could you maybe cut the length of the track so you repost it in a higher bitrate?

64kbps is quite low quality

From what I can tell though, it sounds great

It's an interesting thing that even if the quality's low, the Mule's open top end shines through. It's the same openness I hear on Tim and HJM's Mule clip. Cool. :)

Dunno..

Actually looking at the size of the file, you could probably get it to 128kbps without editing, and still be under 2mb.

The Mp3 recorder actually records at about 64 kps, and also to a .wav file...so I had to convert it.

Simply chopping the file and changing the bitrate would not improve the quality as 64 kps is the only setting for it, it was just a rough idea. Please scuse the `hum` in the backgroud as that is the PC fan!!

I`ll record something @ better quality soon as and post it.

Woah, through an Orange, it sounds really Stoner Rock-ish!
Horrible low-quality his, but yes, it does get the point across.
(Then again, what other people own an Orange/Matamp )
Now I've pretty much made up my mind for my next Les Paul project.
Mule in the bridge, Stormy Monday in the neck.

By the way, what are you tuning to? It sounds really low, it sounds like C to me, if I had to guess without any tonal referance, am I right?

Ah, ok, cool! I missed the 'Schechter C7' Part. Missed a clear note about 7 strings.
