After a bit of Bittorrenting    I got hold of the latest full version of Ableton Live which I've just started experimenting with- I was just recording the four tracks that Ableton Live Lite gave me then rendering them as .wav files and putting them in a seperate editor (called Kristal, gives you as many tracks as you want) to arrange.

Now I can do it all in Ableton.  Woo for simplification.  And it lets me use my computer keyboard as an actual keyboard!  Woo for recording midi! ^_^

Get gearbox running, and in audacity choose edit/preferences/Audio I/O and select line6 PodGX as your recording (and playback, if your speakers are plugged into the pod) device. as standard it will probably be your soundcard or motherboard, mine is "realtek AC97 audio" as default.
Feline Custom, Fender MIJ mustang bass
Orange rocker 30
