i am wondering how to properly roll back the protecting wire shielding so as not to make a mess of it.

also i am wondering how to properly ground this wire. do i ground the metal shielding or what?

Ground to the back of a pot. Most places do this in a star pattern, all ground wires together, but it's hard for me to do somehow. I prefer to ground everything separately, and I haven't noticed any hum from this way.

Any advice on removing factory solder and star grounding would be great though, 2 parts i suck at...
