I got an AS30 one of those. I use it to practise to band recordings through an iPod, which you can also hook up to it. It's OK, but the sound is a bit fizzy and very dry as there's no reverb.

However, if you want to practise in private, it's pretty useful.

Nothing. I do that a lot. But sometimes a little sustain and drive are handy for finding the feel of a song.

then i saw this: "The Vox amPlug amps’ approximate price will be $190, but their availability has to be announced yet."

What a rip off...

Crazy_Joe: can't remember. Just Google for them; it can't have been that hard for me to find it!

Badgermark: you plug the amplug into the jack on your guitar, then plug headphones into the Amplug. You can adjust the gain, tone and volume. There's also a jack for you to plug an iPod or CD player into.
