What's the advantage of a Vintage 30 speaker over the speakers in a 5150 cab if any. Which would be the better choice for tight riffing but still retaining healthy mids.

if you find any info on the sheffield speakers, would you let me know? I have the same cab, I've asked on the peavey forums and here, and elsewhere, and no-where can I find any useful information about the speakers. I'm thinking of doing a straight swap out for 2 x celestion G12K-100 and 2 x Eminence Wizard. If I do this any time soon I'll be sure to report back here with the difference!

greenbacks > v30's  :D

my cobra cab with greenbacks arrived today and i ate the marshall oversized cab with v30's of the other guitarrist
the mids are incredibly THICK
i though it was going to lack bass, but it smoked the marshall cab AND the bassist too (with the bass knob on 5-6)

g12h30 is great too... something between the greenback and the vintage 30
