will these just fit on split CTS pots, or do i need something different? (i once tried to fit jazzmaster knobs on CTS pots and they were the wrong size)

where is a good place/brand to buy them? - i dont want cheap knock offs on my best guitar ;)

cheers!

I have used axes'r'us online for a few things. They are a small outfit, but seem to stock genuine Fender packaged parts e.t.c.

They always delivered next day in the U.K.

You can buy original Fender replacements (and others) here:

http://www.axesrus.co.uk

I buy most of my 'bits' from there - fast service, top stuff!

Edit:  beat me to it FF!

Yep - they'll be fine.  CTS pots are 'USA sized' and will fit perfectly with genuine Fender parts.  Japanese/Korean guitars have 'import sized' Alpha pots which are smaller, and need smaller knobs.

This may have been the problem with your Jazzmaster?

thanks twinfan, sounds like they'll be no issues

yes, i wanted to fit jazzmaster knobs on one of my Vs (thought they looked a bit stylish you know ;) )  but they were 'metric size' only... i thought "everyone uses metric size these days - they'll be fine". obviously though - CTS use imperial size ;)

Except for americans anyway

When you get into guitar modding and building you quickly have to learn to speak both languages - since most of the industry works from the american standards anyway.

Although i draw the line at measuring fret locations in inches.  Scale length in inches is fine, wood sizes in inches is great but  metric is so helpfull for the precision stuff
