Hi All

Fortunately for you lot not myself playing. :D The guitar is a custom built thingy by Jason Schroeder (schroederguitars.com), a shape his own which he calls his Chopper model. One cool thing Jason does is make such clips for each of his punters as the guitar is finished. That's Jason himself playing. The pickups are a pair of P90s, I'm hoping Tim is going to dig up the spec of them (were wound a year or two ago) as another couple of guys I know are after a set just like 'em.

Here's a bit of blurb I put on another forum about the guitar and the pickups:

"Jason just linked me to the movie clips of my Chopper, made before it shipped to me. As Jason mentions in the clips.... the thinking behind this guitar, and in particular the pickups, was aiming for a tone which is like a bright and articulate/slightly biting humbucker tone, as opposed to a 'super single coil' type P90 tone. I've always thought as P90s being the best type of humbucker tone (all the power, none of the mud, let's HEAR the wood of the guitar) instead of the whole single coil thang. I think this comes across in the clips pretty well..."

I WANT those pickups. Guitar aint too bad, but what a sound from some lil P90s. Awesome.

I dont really like the look of the guitar, but it sounds awesome. Got gas for a goldtop p90 LP now :lol: :P

Sweet tone. I'm not keen on the tele style twang on the bridge in clean but dirty sounds are awesome, on clean/ dirty the neck is sublime.

P90's rock and yes I am also gassing for another P90 guitar like tom!

Niall - you'll have to let us know what P90's these are, I'd love to know the spec so I can pick some up.
