ok here is a diagram that i designed for my new guitar.
first i want to make sure that it will work.
they are 500k pots all around so i will be using .047 capacitors, is this a good decision to balance out the bright sound.
the bottom pots are volume and the top are tone
the top box is a three way switcher, tele style.
the box below that is the grounding for the bridge
here are the questions i have:
the jack i want to have is stereo
1. is this possible the way i have wired it. i have the hot leads coming from the switch, but i am not sure that is how to do it.
2. i want to have a stereo sound but i also want the option of plugging in a mono cable and still getting the signal from both pickups. is there a way to wire it so that i can use a stereo cable, but also have the option to use mono.
the volume pots do not look properly grounded to me. i have the ground going to the back of the pot then from one of the contacts on the pot to the star grounding for the back of the guitar. is this correct.
the 3-way switch is not grounded and i am not sure how to. only the 2 spots are left in the picture which i am pretty sure are for the middle pickup, can i use these to ground.
i want the 3-way switch to be like a regular gibson switch were i can switch between the two pickups or combine them.
lastly, i have seen a lot of diagrams with more capacitors and i know from all the 500k pots that i have that it will sound fairly bright. should I add more? if so what types do you suggest and where in the wiring?
thanks so much for any help!!!
ps sorry that there is not boundaries around the pickups, pots and 3-way switch. for some reason they aren't showing up but you can can get the idea.
