One that pairs well with the high output bridge pickups.

Looking for beautiful cleans and shred to pair with my Nailbomb Bridge and Miracle Man bridge but... must excel in cleans rather than shred.

Crawler!!!

Relatively meaty wind on A4: the cleans blew me away!!

Loud enough to balance a warpig, powrfull enough for full throttle shred. But its cleans are stunning.

Well, according to what I heard, they are the same PUs, just different name, lol. So you can just pick a name you like better :D

Crawler sounds more cool to me :)

As for other suggestions... I doubt any pickup would be as good both with cleans and shred as Crawlers, but you can always ask Tim. Even if he tells you Cold sweat, trust me, you better go for it. He will make it sound the way you want it.
I wish women were like pickups - if they lack output, you sell them... or ask Tim to rewind them :D

so... I have 2 guitars

One with a Miracle Man Bridge with Cold Sweat Neck

and this New one will have Nailbomb Bridge...

so it would be a good idea to pair it with the Abraxas neck?

this guitar is still modern sounding but... it must have some vintage attitude on it.

the idea is to have 4 different pickups on the 2 guitars but... still be able to make a good match.

I love Bens clips with Abraxas neck tone... so then in simple terms:

will the Abraxas sound kick ass with my Nailbomb bridge?

Wintersuns right: trust Tim. I spoke to him about a pickup set once and he suggested painkillers. I was kinda thinking nailbombs; he said that was another option, but I got them and it wasnt my bag. I got the PKs instead and they were exactly what I wanted in the first place

The crawler is darker (but still very clear, as all BKs are) and thicker than a cold sweat. The cleans are rich, full and open, the lead sounds lack the CS mid-c--ked-wah hump that makes it so perfect for metal leads, but its got it under the bonnet while being very dynamic and hot-vintage. PAF sound, but with more oomph if you want to use it.

VHII might be another option, too. Clearer, more highs, but still 'refined' sound that cleans up very well.

This topic is a true example how someone can go wrong with choosing a pickup, lol. :D 8)

Tim said "COLD SWEAT is best for you!".. But noooooo - I had to be "smart" and go for The Mule :D

I'd have to say that the perfect partner for a nailbomb bridge pup is.................a nailbomb neck pup   but I'm biased. The calibrated nailbombs on my RGT are my all time fave pups....especially with independant tone and volume controls and a phase reversal switch.....clean up a treat  8)

To clarify: Crawler neck and Abraxas neck is the same. The reason I said Abraxas is that it's cheaper when you order it. :P

Abraxis then!

Clear it that they're the same with Tim first though (HTH said they are a few hundred ohms apart in another thread, and he knows his stuff, but its good to be certain)

That comment by HTH was a comparison between the Crawler and Mule neck pickups, in this thread:

"are you aware that the Crawler neck pickup is just a Mule wound a tiny bit hotter? (only 400ohms Tim told me)."

Ignoring what I said, here's a quote from an older thread.  See Carlaz's post at the top of the second page:

"turns out the Abraxas and Crawler use the same neck, DC7.6K Alnico IV (Tims says)."

That was an old thread, so as I said before the specs may have changed.  We really need the updated specs on the site, especially for the neck models.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
