you can identify that it's a great tone, although the mic and recording quality are real bad

Quite agressive, punchy, good bottom end and crunch in the upper mids. Also seems like a sound that requires some effort from the player, which is good as more ROCK attitude comes across.

Thats a great tone Eric.

Its soo tight and punchy. Sounds more aggressive than my MM set.

Shame about the crackly mic.

What have you downtuned to? Whole step?

lol i'm a really bad on recording

and to be sincere, this amp sounds like shite on low volumes
on studio it ROARS
i call it "the box that carries hell"
the bass on 6 is bassier and deeper than my bassist can get and the distortion is raw and crunchy, not too much saturation
i rehearse using the crunch channel and sounds heavier that anything i've tried
and now i discovered that greenbacks are the best spearkers ever!
it devoured my bandmate's marshall oversized cab of v30's and it's a lot better than my century vintage

Wow, it's so tight already. Especially if you consider the low-tuning and the scale of the guitar. Actually, that's very close to the texture of the tone I'm after. I really love that "bouncing" tightness more than extreme super-tightness.

You can hear the rocking nature of the pickup (ala Led Zeppelin) behind the modern response it has. I think the HD is a really great pickup. I really liked all the clips of it.

Thanks for posting this!

EDIT: I heard it again and I'd say that the tone of the leads in the end is like Richie Blackmore from hell or something.

I'm surprised how tight it sounded, even when tuned so low. Good stuff.
