hello

i wanted to know how heavy the cold sweat pick ups can get in the bridge positions....i heard that they can handle the old metallica stuff but are they able to get any slayer, pandera or Avenged Sevenfold?

i $%&#ing know that avanged savenvold is not metal....i just wrote this band cause i like to play their songs and wanted to know if the cold sweat can handle them or if i should take the Miracle Man.... :shock:

I don't know about A7X, don't listen to any of their stuff, but for Slayer and Pantera, my personal choice would be primarily a Nailbomb, if not then maybe one of the other heavier pups like MM or Warpig.

But then I say Nailbomb to everything as I think they are bloody amazing, lol. :D

I've got a Cold Sweat in the bridge of a Mockingbird that's tuned down to B. It sounds really good.

is the miracle man only for the trash and death metal stuff or can you play early metallica, black sabbath, guns n roses or AC/DC with it?

iv got a schecter and i take the abraxas for the neck but im uncertain about the bridge pickup....either the cold sweat or the miracle man....

I wouldn't go for a MM if you're looking to play 'DC, Sabbath and GnR personally. Something alnico would be better suited imo.

For ACDC, Sabbath and GnR I would've thought Mules or VHII would be better suited, then boost for the metal? I believe Tim uses Mules even in Ozzmosis, and his tone is huge on the 2 Ozzmosis recordings I have :)

i mainly play metallica...especially the old stuff from the first three albums
but i also play lots of black sabbath...and sometimes i do play AC/DC and guns n roses....

I dont know about guns and roses but early metallica, BS and AC/DC were boosting pafs like _tom_ said.

EDIT: just checked slash from G'n'R uses Alnico II Pafs. I also read Richard Fortis from G'n'R uses Stormy mondays from BKP!
