My Nailbomb and MQ are sitting at home... tempting me to shove them in to my 335... but no!

I must wait for the new pots, switch, jack and braided wire to arrive before I can get busy...

Such a tease, those damn things...

I was waivering on the Nailbomb in my Explorer, but after getting some awesome tones out of it with a mkI Guv'nor, it's back in favour.

Nailbombs do indeed RAWK!

It's raw nickel that was played a few times a week for a few months. It seems to age extremely fast...

any nickel parts will age quite fast depending on your sweat.

the raw nickel is just like aged nickel but you are doing the  final ageing bit yourself at an accelerated rate compared to shiny nickel

thats cool.

Got it all wired in now and i absolutely love it. It sounds absolutely HUGE only thing i have a problemn with is its FAR too easy to hit pinch harmonics..... so much that i keep getting them by accident.

Will post clips when i have more time to play.

Cheers Peter much appreciated

I'm glad you like it! Yeah, the Nailbomb has crazy harmonics, it behaves in a very lively way with overdrive, guess that's where the organic quality comes from. Tim was spot on with his description - 'chaos in a pickup'.

Cool that you like the NB !

I easily think that you can compare this pickup with the Miracle Man in high gain territory slight less...which people don't on this forum usually but NB really have it's own voice and love distortion and the cleans are great 8)

well personally i prefer this to my miracle man but that could be because im going off ceramic pickups lately and my music taste is venturing further away from thrash metal which the miracle man is perfect for
