Not a great pedal but still a very interesting presentation hahaha.

Btw I liked every amp distortion better htan this pedal. Marshall beats it 300%.
I wish women were like pickups - if they lack output, you sell them... or ask Tim to rewind them :D

As far as i see it, it would only be good for small amp situations. There would be no reason to have it AND have those amps, since you would just use the amp for the distortion. Also, if you wanted a really nice metal sound, its unlikely you'd have a vox as your amp. And if you wanted a metal pedal for a little amp, you wouldn't spend 300 dollars on it.

EDIT: The kj amp vid is pretty nice though.

bold move putting it up against those amps, unfortunately it only goes to highlight how fizzy it sounds.  wasn't impressed at all - no balls!

Exactly. No depth in sound, I wasn't keen on its sound either. It would be a good pedal if it was cheap, say less than £80. But these will be more like £180. I'd rather go for something like HT Dual.

Knowing Zvex he likes to put his pedal head on against amp. Not only for this but also for the Box Of Rock. But i mean nothing beats the real deal ( Amp Dirt) But it does at colors to our tone arsenal. And Box of Rock is 1 of the best plexish pedal around. i am not a uber high gain person so the BOM is cool if i want a 1 stop metal tone 8)

Hmmm, interesting.
Owning a Knucklehead and playing a Tre alot I would say the amp slays it.
But this is'nt really the point imo.

Zachary, imo, makes some pretty poor videos but amazing pedals.

He is known for making some pretty WILD pedals that are very tweakable and require time to dial in but first class too.

For instance, I hate his Nano head video but adore the actual head itself.

I would say the BOM is probably a great pedal in it's own right, just maybe not totally required if owning a high gain amp to start with (maybe better boost choices out there for that), but ya pays ya money and takes ya chances/make ya choice.

I don't think the Box of Metal pedal is anything more than a souped-up Fuzz Factory  :(

I own and very much enjoy using a Fuzz Probe (Fuzz Factory with a theramin plate thingy) and it sounds really secksay, but that's because it's a fuzz pedal and it does just that.

The BoM sounds like a Fuzz Factory on steroids... and the roids made its testicles shrivel...
