well yeah, of course - but i am well aware not everyone sees it that way.  my favorite quote came from one of my students who said " why have you got flowers, thats gay aint it.. you should have had a bulldog!!"

I really like some of the polynesian tribal stuff but i aint from a polynesian tribe!!

i drew the bottom half of this tattoo, i did draw something for the top as well but the tattooists idea was much better so we went with that.

i have the advantage of waiting till i was 27 before even getting a tattoo so i hopefully know myself a bit better and i felt confident starting pretty big!!!

Yeah big is good, mine was too small and the lines faded(especially where there is shading) into a blurr a bit by now, shame really. But since its only there to remind me of some things i would easily forget otherwise its fine. I really would be very uncomfortable if someone made some stupid remark about it. I am known for returning any favor granted, somehow me being a generous chap isnt allways appreciated in these situations  .

EDIT: After reading this again id like to add i meant with the last part that i would gladly return the stupid remark offcourse. Not that anyone thinks i hit people or anything. Just want to be clear on that....

Solid!   :D

Nice work there, it all looks good. I really like the look of the girl, she's quite hot   8)

So when you gig, you gonna wear a sleeve-less t-shirt so everyone can see your strumming arm?

I just checked out the sites in your sig and realized why you don't play much anymore, hehe.

You spend most of your time constructing those things you WISH you could play, doncha? If that's not a hellish tease, I dunno what is...   :?

finally got the shading finished on my arm lastw eek as well as having a bit more work done around the middle to connect the two halfs.  still a bit scabby in the middle but here is where we are now

now i have to think about the next one.. i actually want something guitar related but not cheesy.  i am tempted to work my logo into somehow.. anyway - after ideas... my original thought was a series of decreasing blocks going up my other arm as a fretboard but the tattoist isnt happy that it will stay looking good for long if we do it how i want... or i am considering exploded diagrams/technical drawings of certain parts of a guitar

thats a nice tatt Wez, looks very 3D.

i'm too much of a pussy for tattoos.

How about for more tattoos you get some music inspired ones like Chris George on the Marshall promo CD....

Ahh, i've been surrounded by tattoo talk all day!

I really want one now, just a simple one, like a band going around my arm, just before the wrist... maybe something a bit tribal/celtic.

I'm not too keen on big tatt's but these are great, im more into subtle stuff.

i still keep thinking of my proposed ace of spades 'born to lose - live to win' tatoo for years, but haven't been brave enough to go for it yet.

cheers guys, very happy with how this  one came together in the end.

i considered having my headstock but the main problem is my headstock changes everytime i make a guitar.  I did a different version (6 in line) for the Veteran recently and i have also been redesigning my usual 3 a side for a more symmetrical option that will suit certain guitars better.

seems  a bit daft to tattoo a design i keep changing

ps. for the SG we decided on the bottom one - had it been a more modern shape i may have been tempted to go with the middle one
