Allright, this is a huge pedal, and it's a lot of weight and buttons for just 100 EUR, but it sounds darn awesome.

Listen to the clip I just made with the Danelectro Reel Echo, this thing is just what I was missing for my complete outer space noodling, and it's less than 100 EUR:

$%&#. Me.

That sounds gorgeous, utterly gorgeous!! I've fancied them from afar but been put off by the fact it's a Dano!

How noisy is the operation? Where'd ya get it from?

A bit noisy, but not overly, I mean this replaces a tape echo, what kind of hassle would you have with that? I run it in the loop of my Budda Superdrive, the recording was MONO!

Haha, bought via Thomann.de

I also like that pedal, aside from the colour. PDT_008

If you can't afford an original Copy Cat or Fulltone Tube Tape Echo.

I was thinking about getting one, but then it won't fit on your pedal board, need complicated power, be heavy etc.

Even if I wouldn't mind spending the $$$ on one, it would just be inconvenient. Guess I'll gonna try some others of those Danelectro FX now.

I had the 450 EUR Replica before, but I would always prefer the Dano over the T-Rex, the Reel Echo is very musical and "mojo-magic" for a digital pedal... which the T-Rex never was.

You're a good salesmen, selling the cheaper alternative instead of the uber pricey one! :D

Well, I bought the Replica untested and found it boring, digital, cold sounding, in my opinion for that price that pedal is a rip-off.

The Danelectro is a no-brainer IMO, except that it's big, ok, something I can live with, upside is that those huge knobs and switches can actually be operated with your feet.

It's a great pedal for the money. Our lead guitarist has one. I thought about getting one but then the new Boss RE-20 came along.

The RE-20 is twice as expensive ($250.- or 200 Euros) but it beats every other tape echo simulator I ever heard.

I'll make you want it even more. This thing does an excellent job of replicating a tape. There's wow, flutter and warble. It does the UFO sounds. You can hook up an expression pedal and assign it to different functions. (So you can go 'whole lotta love' on that sucker.) You can program it for longer delays. All knobs react like on a real tape echo. It has tap tempo. It has stereo in and outputs. A direct out switch so you can hook it up to a mixing desk and use it for vocals.

And the best thing: It's digital but it doesn't sound cold or sterile. It sounds warm and analogue. This thing NAILS 'Sleepwalk'.

I think you guys have found my christmas present for me, I fancied the Danelectro based on price but then I found these demos of the Boss RE-20 http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/?page=shop/flypage&product_id=29195 and short of an Binson or original Space Echo, it's the business
Goodbye London !

How quiet is the RE-20? I'm not all "waah true bypass"... but I've used some Boss pedals that have been noisy as sin.

 :D

To be perfectly honest, a little noise isn't that big a deal... I have two true bypass loopers setup so I could always stick it in one of them and leave the pedal turned on and use the bypass pedal as a sort of master on/off switch.

Gawd, all the demo vids and clips I've seen/heard are giving me such  bad GAS!!   Especially with the insane sounds from adding the expression pedal!!
